CIGRE is one of the world’s oldest international technical organizations that has four regional councils all over the world. South East European Council of CIGRE (SEERC) as one of these four, has seventeen member countries including Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Chechia and Slovakia, Greece, Georgia, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Türkiye,Ukrain.

Mr. Zafer BENLİ, CEO of Electricity Generation Company (EÜAŞ) serves as the chairman of SEERC and National Committee of Türkiye. CIGRE National Committee of Türkiye has taken over the SEERC chairmanship from Austria until the end of 2023.
